Description

These are all data I collected on 2022.On the left a 7 hours narrowband image of the Dumbell Nebula. On the right there is the exoplanet transit detection on the host star HD189733b, that I underlined on the left pic (bottom right).

Both images are shot with the exact same setup, except for the narrowband filter and for the different exposure times, given the fact that HD189733b is very bright (around 8th magnitude), that is why there are a lot of data for the transit, and the detection is very strong. The transit depth is 28 thousands of magnitude, very faint but absolutely detectable by modern cmos sensors.

These data are part of the ExoClock project, to monitor the ephemerides of exoplanets for the future mission Ariel. Everyone with a cmoc/ccd and telescope can participate!
